The MegaCart reserves 8Mbits for the "OS", so 24 Mbits is the max allowed. I'm not sure if you CAN write more, but if you did, you would need to rewrite the "OS" before you could u ... |

To allow booting the CD or the cart. If the cart were ALWAYS enabled, you couldn't boot a CD to write the cart. When you wish to mess with the cart again, you'll need to put the jumper back in place. |

Have you tried unplugging, the plugging in the controller while the MD is on? Try that with the PSX controller first, then maybe the converter.
Another thing to check is the mode... maybe the conve ... |

I suppose you could check to see if SRAM is present on even bytes to detect that it is NOT running on an MD-Pro..
