| Ok, and did you set the card port to EPP?
That's the thing, I can't see a way to make sure the card is in EPP mode. The generic card came with just a driver disk and no instructions

Just with MDPRO Is your laptop a Compaq? Many of them won't do EPP. It's a Dell, doesn't do EPP on it own port, hence the card (which does) Is there driver soft ... |
