Hello Mystic_Merlin,

That people would buy pirated games in shops does explain why this hardware would be rare, since only shopkeepers or their suppliers would need one.

Thanks!

Indeed it was ...

Hello michielvoo,

I don't own a MGD1 but here's a pic kyuusaku sent me a while ago of his setup.

The NTSC device is probably a power supply with dual output.

The ram unit 3 sitting on top of ...

I have an old Pro Fighter X and the TRAM test always fails.

Does anyone know what TRAM actually is?

Would be happy about feedback. Thank you Smile

It's the Realtime save ram, send me a pic of yo ...

Thanks for the pics.
So indeed this must be the "old HiRom adapter", there seems to me more variants of the MGH that I thought. I also have another one with quite a few mods that I need to ...

A few years ago I picked up this Super Disk cheap as it had a failed floppy disk drive.

After I tested it I confirmed that the drive had failed. However after replacing the drive, with a old Matsus ...

Hi. I recently bought a faulty mgh bundle that came with 2 grey SNES adaptors. One of the adaptors was a pass through and the other had one ic, from memory a gal chip. It was my hunch after reading ...

Thanks, I spent a lot of time restoring it. You're right that the RAM board is a 32mb, but looking at it only half of the board is populated (could be upgraded to 64mb... not that I'd try though, re ...

pic 12 of your Cyclone is really strange, it looks like and upside down crystal hotglued on top of the fdd controller. It must be original as I check from an another pic I had and it's the same.

Nice DPFX, it's in pristine condition. The 64M sticker indicates it's upgradeable to 64M but I believe the ram board is just a standard 32M max one.

check page 3 and 4 of this thread for the story ...

Nice one, I've been looking for this cartridge for a while.
Did you buy it in Asia?

To answer your question, it's a similar "fake memory upgrade" to the 4M SF2 Turbo. I wasn't sure till ...

Simplest thing to do is to replace the battery with a capacitor, 16V 1000uF.
That's what they did in later Pro fighter revisions.
It will hold a charge long enough for you to switch the unit OFF ...

Interesting. I may have to dig my UFO 6 out to try this.

Cool, let me know how it goes. The original UFO Pro 6 bios is not even able to dump hirom games and read the wrong cart size.
