This joystick is very special. Normal joypad/joystick use finger to press the button. But this one use finger to touch the button. Just use your finger to touch the button very lightly. It will act like you press the button.
It is make in Hong Kong very long time ago. I remember that when CCL sell Pro Fighter, they give this joystick as gift to promote Pro Fighter.
On the box, it say Finger Massage, ha ha. It is not a joystick, it is joypad. But no idea why on the box say it is joystick.

Lol, good one Tomy!
Well, my guess is a translation mistake..."finger massage" for "touch sensitive", as well as for joystick.

Probably wouldn't be bad for a game like Tetris or Pac Man, but for a game like Contra, forget about it
