At download area have PCE-PRO software updated (version 1.12).
If USRegionCheckBox is clicked, that mean the multi-game header have a swap function |

Thanks for the effort !
I can now boot the menu on a US Turbo Duo.. but I can't start any games.
When I select a title the screen flashes and nothing happens. Does it work for anyone else ? |

At the game list windows (on PC application), Each games item have a USregion function (click the game name to open the game config window), if play JAP game on US console / US game on JAP console, It must be select. if play US games on US console / JAP game on JAP console , It don't select. |

I get the same problem, it flashes to a black screen with a few dots along the bottom, then returns to the menu. This happens no matter what way I set it to program(both with and without the individual game's "US region" function enabled). When I just program in a single game, without the multigame header, it acts like a Japanese region card, whether I have selected the US region options or not. |

Not so much the program was needed but the PCE Boot program.
On a US turbo Express it will only Boot one game (us checked)
If you try multigames you will get a white screen.
I will download the new version and see if that problem is fixed

Nope still won't work.
Like everone else says.
It will show the multi menu but will not run any just flash...
Still you can only flash One game. More than one game and all you get is a pretty menu that does not run anything.
and it even went backward with the one game that did work (japanese Region) even a us game checked as such.
At least the previous version got the one game right |

Someone suggested to bitswap the JAP bootloader file. I tried it but that doesn't work either.
So now I'm back flashing just one game with dreamwriter 1.1 |

What software did you use and in what way did you use it? Only bitswapping the game might not be enough. Perhaps you have to crack it too. |

I used ucon64 to bitswap the pceboot.pce file
I also tried the regionfix if that is what you mean. |

The things is that uCON64's analysis code for PCE files isn't that reliable (any help is welcome). You have to specify -pce because uCON64 doesn't detect it as a PCE file. You also have to specify the header size. The copy of pceboot.pce has a header of 512 bytes (the one available from the uCON64 homepage does not have a header). So, to bitswap the file you should use a command like:
Code: | ucon64 -pce -hd -swap pceboot.pce |
or, if you use a file without a header:
Code: | ucon64 -pce -nhd -swap pceboot.pce |
I would find it strange if Leo had added a region protection to the loader. uCON64 doesn't find one anyway.
If you want to crack a file, always make sure uCON64 detects the header size correctly. You could use the PCE DAT file (available from the uCON64 homepage) to help you with that. The DAT file was made from a complete GoodPCE set. No file of that collection has a header, and it was generated with the -nhd switch (no problems with header detection). |
