I recommend again getting the Super WildCard DX2 unless you really do plan to use the Zip Drive or DiskDual. If you don't, the GDSF7 is much cheaper and does the same things. The SWCDX2 is really expensive compared to other options and the features included.

The Super Magicom and Super Wildcard (SMC and SWC) are actually the same format.

So games with the file extension SMC can be played on a Super Wildcard? Or do you have to change the file extension to SWC first?

Does it also go the other way? Can games saved in the SWC format be played on an SMC machine?

And does your statement about the SMC and SWC formats also go with the SWCDX2, or only the original SWC?

Yes, SWCDX2 plays .smc and many other formats. Game Doctor only plays Game Doctor format. I don't know about the original SWC, but I do recommend the SWCDX2.

Or, you can get a SNES PowerPak from retrousb.com and use compact flash

Even with google, some info is scarce, gone, or in a language other than english, though I do agree that much is common knowledge, especially units like the SWC DX2, which FFE still sells.

This is the best forum for this small niche market. I personally don't know of any other active forums for this type of thing other than Tototek Smile

That is a big list, I'd suggest searching google and searching the buy/sell/trade forum and looking up past posts as well as visiting tototek and tototek's friend shop to see prices. I'm too busy lately to post answer to that big of a list unless maybe I got some kind of compensation lol.

Do you really think google will have info on every file format that each device can read and/or write? How about each copier's cartridge slot shape (if SFC, SNES, or both), do you think I can find it on google? I don't think so. The most informative place I found was http://home.clara.net/robwebb/backup/#menu .
And even it doesn't tell of file format(s) associated with each copier or SFC/SNES system compatibility or the SFC/SNES cartridge compatibility. That's why I came to the tototek forums hoping someone with extreme knowledge of SNES copiers (maybe even someone who was an SNES game pirate from back in the day) would come here and answer all my questions. This was why I posted here.

lol well, it should have the majority of information.. if you want me to fill out that entire questionnaire I can send you my paypal address and charge you my general IT hourly fee Smile that is a lot of stuff to fill in man.

Hi Thall,
Would it be possible for you to scan the PFXT2 user manual that can be seen on this page ?
(check the comments, I asked 3 years ago haha)
Thanks in advance,

Heh thanks Thall, appreciated.
I'm just wondering if there's a button combo of some sort to set the damn background once and for all. (currently have a choice between usa/canada/chinese and fixed blue bg).
Also, I wonder about the "update goldfinger code" feature. It looks like we can update the internal codes, somehow.
Later,
