I've used older Dells that I had from old jobs. Don't know any models, but I imagine anything with an LPT port will do fine.

It doesn't have to be anything fancy. I use an old Compaq 1650 I think. It's a Pentium 2 233mhz or something like that which I put Win98SE on. It's probably a good idea to use Win98SE if you plan to use the parallel port with things like copiers since it seems that is likely what was intended to be used. However you need to keep in mind the parallel port supported modes. Older ones may not support certain modes needed by certain devices. For example the Tototek PCE Pro needed some mode my laptop doesn't support so I have to use another PC to flash it. So if you can find a laptop with a Pentium III and parallel port, that might be the way to go.

Thanks guys, i think the NX9010 is a good decision! I found some close ups showing all I/O connectors. See pictures below. I start now to observe some of these on ebay, they seem to be cheap, especially on those ones with broken batteries which i dont need anyways. I let you know if i was successful.

Be sure it includes the hard drive and hard drive caddy or at the very least the caddy. Without it you won't be getting far. Often it seems to me I see laptops for sale without the HDD caddy which leaves you no option to actually have a HDD.
