This product says it will require its own A/V cable to operate, yet in these two pictures you show it running with out one.

Can you explain this please.

it looks like both the gba-snes adapter and portable player are made by the same company, gamejoy. perhaps there's some kind of exclusive compatibility between the two where the video signal is sent through unused pins

This is very likely.

There is a review located here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ao-GVdbLKdQ

I'm curious as to how many others have bought this, maybe someone can try a flashcart on it, and even better a flashcart with goomba emulater to try and play GB/GBC games via the flashcart.

I believe I've heard that GBA flash carts, atleast some of them, do work on this device.

I would love to know if anyone is using flash carts on these yet and what specific flash cart you have successfully used and what flash carts have failed.

Has anyone run this on an original SNES deck without using separate AV cables?

Doesn't work. You'd have to make some kind of mod, which would be pointless.

Not pointless if you want to output your SNES to an RGB monitor. I just got a Sony PVM RGB monitor, and would get this adapted if I could also play GBA on my RGB monitor. And getting a GameCube/GBA player is not an option since it requires a rare and expensive component video cable.

Someone did mod his SNES for the adapter to work without the extra composite cable.

I doubt that "mod" would work with an RGB monitor

You wanted to know if the adapter could be used without the supplied composite cable. It can, the SNES just needs to be modded.
You need to understand that in all cases the adapter can only output composite.
I guess you hook your snes to pvm via scart to bnc adapter. So you have a sync wire. With this snes mod you'd only need to double this sync wire and connect to both Sync and Composite inputs on the PVM, and just switch inputs on the PVM according to what you wish to play (since snes uses composite to provide sync via scart).
