Dude, learn how to read a thread. You need to reprogram the EPLD, which is next to impossible. The only other option is to hack in discrete logic which is almost as complicated.

Kyuusaku, are you talking about upgrading a 16Mbit or 24Mbit?
From reading cherryroms thread I get the impression that upgrading from 24Mbit to 32Mbit only involves adding two extra 4Mbit chips to an existing 24Mbit SMD memory board... (but that upgrading a 16Mbit involves reprogramming the EPLD and PCB rework as you describe)

Yea, that's me. It's basically the same as the one in that auction, only it has a 32mbit sticker on it. From what I've seen, going all the way back to when these things were originally around in the 90's, all SMD boxes were the same.

Not true. All Super Magic Drives are black. The white/cream model is the Magic Drive Plus by CCL and has the floppy drive built-in.

The fact that you said the "black ones" only came with 8m and 16m. You told him "no way" it is 24m, but there are in fact 24m and 32m SMDs (along with MD+s).

This is my 24M SMD photo, later I upgraded 32M adding ram chips.

I want a boxed 32M one.
Why do they only still have new SWC DX2 and no SMD.

Because SNES was more popular among pirates I guess.

Hello.
I search the "MAGIC DOS V-3.3c" Bios File. I find the v3.3 not 3.3c
My SMD800 has 16MB where can I get a ram card with 24M?
Thanks.

As long as I know nowhere because the 24m ram card was inside just the Magic Drive 2 (the white one)
Otherwise you should solder on your ram card (but I do not know which rams you need and skilled required)
