I don't think your flash is dead. If it were, you cannot just put in a 128 or 256Mbit flash and expect it to work.

if I found a new 28f640 it wont work either, as I read from articles there is non writable section on this chip and this one is for registiring it self to hardware, does anyone have any information about this flash how can I read my broken flash boot sector and write it to new one or you say forget and send it back to tomy Smile

Is this a brand new MD-PRO? If not, have you used it successfully before? I suggest you send it back to Tomy and not damage it with other Flash which I'm sure won't work. Please realize that each brand of flash may require a different programming algorithm, perhaps you aren't using the correct Dreamwriter for your particular flash. You should talk with Tomy before anything!

You might have fried some parts of the cart with static electicity...

For exemple, puting some plastic tape on the circuit board can fry the cart.

Or just put the card pcb on any plastic/metal/synthetic (non-wood or non-grounded) surface can immediately fry the card.
