As Kyuusaku mentioned, you are mixing up 4-bit words vs 8-bit bytes. It's similar to people being confused between a kilobit and kilobyte which still happens quite frequently. I don't think he was being rude, he is simply pointing out the facts of the matter even after you accused him of being wrong. You came on with the attitude that you are right and he was wrong without having any clue what you're referring to (not knowing that 80ns is a longer time period than 70ns, eg).

At any rate, an interesting discussion has resulted which is rare for this place. It's usually people asking the same 3 questions that have been answered multiple times.
