Has anyone tried to use a FDS in conjunction with a Super 8 instead of a regular Famicom? I have a FDS and regular Famicom en route to me, and while clearing some room for them, I happened upon my SNES w/Super 8 and started to wonder... would it work?

It should work, the FDS doesn't require a very accurate console.

I can confirm that the super 8 DOES work with the FDS as I used to have both at one point. The super 8 even works with the PowerPak (even though NOAC systems are officially not supported by the PowerPak).

I hope you have an AV famicom for that. It's damn sweet. RetroUSB sometimes has the PowerPak in stock (though they go very fast) so if you can pick one up, you will be gold! Supposedly, NeoFlash is working on their own NES and Famicom flashcart but like many of their projects, it is still a work in progress.

good luck!
