I am gonna get it started off by first saying that I am a retro gamer, but of a different breed. Being a member of the gamesx.com community, I am one of those that appreciates retro gaming on a whole different level. By that, I mean I like to play my games at the highest quality
as far as my display. In short, I have three letters for you: RGB
RGB is the highest quality and many older systems support RGB video (some like N64 need a mod).
Here's my setup:
DISPLAY:
37" Mitsubishi XC-3730C RGB/VGA monitor (picture here: http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/4500/rgbmonitorcm5.jpg)
SYSTEMS (all these are RGB capable):
- Super Nintendo with SWC DX2/Disk Dual + CF 2 IDE mod/2GB CF Card, Super Gameboy with 32mb gameboy flash cart, Super Gameboy control pad
- Nintendo 64 (RGB modded) with Z64 HW version 2.0, CF 2 IDE mod/2GB CF Card
- Sega CDX (Genesis/CD combo) with Tototek 32mb flash cart
- PC Engine Duo (RGB modded) with Neo Flash 128mb flash card, Hori SNES style Fighting Commander control pad
- Sega Master System with Tototek 32mb flash cart
- Sega Saturn with Mod Board
- Playstation 2 with BBA/120gb hard drive
- Atari Jaguar with Jag CD, 6 button pad
- Nintendo Gamecube with Gameboy Player/Supercard SD (with 2gb SD card) connected via
Vdigi VD-Z3 component to VGA transcoder, Hori SNES style Gamecube pad (perfect for the gameboy player)
- Sega Dreamcast (black Sega Sports version)
SYSTEMS 2 (These systems are not RGB capable) pics here: http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/7208/lcdvectrexwiihw2.jpg
and here: http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/1236/avsystemszd5.jpg
- AV Famicom with PowerPak/512mb CF Card, Famicom Disk System
- Vectrex with VecFlash flash cart
- Atari 5200 (AV modded for S-video/Composite) with AtariMax 128-in-1 USB flash cart, power mod (so you don't need that crappy power/RF box), Redemption 5200 (use 7800 joysticks and pads with 5200 instead of the horrible 5200 controller)
- Atari 7800 (AV modded for S-Video/Composite) with Cuttle Cart 2/32mb MMC card, two button atari control pad
- Colecovision (AV modded for composite video) with AtariMax 128-in-1 USB flash cart
- Panasonic 3DO (soon to be modded for RGB)
- Intellivision (AV modded for composite video) with Cuttle Cart 3/512mb microSD card
SYSTEMS 3 (connected to my LCD HDTV):
- Microsoft XBOX with 300gb HDD, XBMC
- Microsoft XBOX 360 Premium modded, Harmony programmable remote
- Nintendo Wii with WiiKey
Upstairs I play some systems with my 1080p projector which displays at 178". I am also working on setting up my Showcase Cabinet (33", with four players) for MAME.

Thought i would pay the site a rare visit........
wish i hadn't bothered .....i see the CRACKpots are still posting
Maybe they will disappear soon then i will be able to talk to the sensible /knowledgable members like Doctorbackup ect. instead of reading CRAP
They say a little knowledge is dangerous !!!
