The difference between a PFXT and PFXT2 is the BIOS and sticker on the case.

Yes my PFXT2 has the flags. It writes ROMS in .smc and not .fig. If you want some to look at some pics go here

Nice group!
A bios dump of this one would be definitely interesting.

I have a PFXT2 (and can dump the BIOS), don't remember which BIOS it is though.

That'd be great kyuusaku, so we could hexedit it and see if there's a way to disable the intro piracy warning and set a background image once and for all (for now i have flags scrolling as default, very annoying).
See you!

I'm here but currently don't have a device programmer and my BIOS is in Chinese which I didn't remember before. I don't think it has a piracy warning though ;)

Is it really that annoying? You do know you can change the flags that scroll in the background. Wink Personally I would be going after the TURBO 64 MX BIOS before doing anything. That is the cream of the crop!!! I would do a nice trade to get one of those. I possibly would consider trading my V64Jr 512M for one depending on the condition. Man Bigjon6.... I should have bought yours and would have bought it a few years back. I have access to a EPROM programmer at my friends electronic repair shop. WHo knows maybe I will release mine some day. Question

The warning isn't that annoying.
Scrolling flags in the background definitely are, especially when the simple blue background is also available but just not selected by default upon startup, which is a shame.
My Pro Fighter X Turbo 2 is more than enough for my use.
Kyuu, arg, Bios in chinese huh.. :/
Doc, have you access to BIOS 2.02 ?
That's what I would need a dump of.
I've re-sent an email to Tomy, hoping he still has access to it too.

Great, would it be technically possible for you to dump it?
Have you ever thought of hacking the bios before? Cool

Hey Doc, Kyuu, Thall
I have another question for you guys Cool
Would you know what the "UPDATE DATA" feature under the "GOLDFINGER" menu stands for?
After a bit of searching I found this :
Code:
 2.2.4 UPDATE DATA:

Con esta opción podras ampliar la librería de  códigos Gold Finger
          ya existentes en el PFXT.

which roughly means that we can update the internal Goldfinger code database.

When I use this feature, the copier (pro fighter x turbo 2) is looking for a file on the floppy, would you know what the format of this file should be? I guess it's just a list of goldfinger codes but formatted in a special way?

Also would you know where the Goldfinger codes are stored?
Ideally I would like to erase them all so the copier stops prompting me if I want to use a code, since i *NEVER* want to and I like the game to start straight after loading.

Thanks for any info on this!
See you,
