Seems like I actually managed to get the ol'e bastard runninga again. I bought a can with compressed air and used it on the socket. Then I cleaned the pins with some alcohol stuff ( same as you use when cleaning cds for example ). Now its been running with no hickups for several hours. Thanks for the tips guys. Hope its fixed now :=) |

does anyone have a picture of ther dram? I'm expecting a 16Mb Wild Card in the mail and want to know what to look for to upgrade it. Tomy only sells SF7 memory |

You won't find the RAM in the wild, they're proprietary boards made by FFE and CCL. They can only be found from people who know what they are really. Besides, you can't necessarily just upgrade a 16M unit even if you have the RAM. It may require slight PCB reworking and a chip upgrade which I doubt anyone could do for you today. Better get a 32M unit next time!
If you happen across a cheap 24M unit, that might be worth upgrading since they usually will support 32M off the bat. |
