Hello,

I bought "PCE-PRO 32M flash Cart." However, I am troubled in order that my
PC may not recognize a card...

I prepared the parallel cable and the USB cable and connected PC and the
card. OS which I am using is Win98SE.

PC bios was set as EPP.

I started Dream Writer 1.5.

The number of the printer port was also set as 378. BIOS was also set as
378.

However, nothing is displayed on BOX of Dream Writer 1.5, but it is
displayed as "0Mb(0KB) Size Free."

I tried to transmit data. However, it was displayed as "Not enough free
space for fix this game", and was not able to transmit....

I changed a setup of the parallel port and tried repeatedly. However, the
result was the same. PC is a thing like which does not recognize the card...

When I started the card with PC engine GT(Japanese), the preset game started
satisfactorily....

Please teach the good method for making PCE-PRO recognize to PC. Would you
help me if you please?

Moreover, since the problem occurred also in GG-PRO, I worry...

Things to check:

Is the parallel cable straight through or cross over? It should be straight through.
Is the USB from the motherboard or via a powered hub? I use a powered hub.
Change the USB cable - sometime they don't work - no idea why.
Check the switch is set to on on the cart / programmer

As it is not working for SMS and PCE I think it is setup or cable related. Can you try it on another PC?

Thank you for the reply!

powered hub...I think that I will also try.

I tried on three sets of PCs. However, it was the same result.
Although selection of a cable is also regarded as right....

I ordered the cable from TOTOTEK. Smile

What version of Dreamwriter are you using? You need to install v 1.4 and then copy the 1.5 EXE in and use that.

Hello.
Thank you for the reply and the advice.! Very Happy

I set the BIOS number of a printer port to EPP 278.
And I uninstalled Dream Writer 1.5 and installed Dream Writer 1.4,
printer port number set to 278 on Dream Writer 1.4.

But,displayed as "0Mb(0KB) Size Free." ...

GG-PRO and MD-PRO works fine.Only PCE-PRO is not recognized.
