The current Snes Flash carts are great and work well, but a bit limited with the 64mb limit and 4 game limit.
I'd love to see this adapted to include an IDE interface. The NES PowerPak does something similar.
To keep it simple forget any dsp/fx games (just use a pass-through connector as currently used). I'm sure a long way in the future someone will be get all the extra chips in a FCPGA though its a lot of work and extra expense for a few games. (A cheaper option would be ripping the chips out of carts and adding them on).
I can use a 2gb CF cart currently on my snes, via a dx2 with a diskdual and cf/ide adapter. Works great, but is hampered by a grim file lister and no LFN support. It's rather massive! |

These already exist, from the same folks that did the NES one. |

Well, yes, I have a Snes powerpak. But they did not exist over 2 years ago when I posted this. |
