It would help to know what your problem is exactly. The GDSF7 should play FF Mystic Quest no problem.

I can check for you if you really want me to but I imagine it will work perfectly. By any chance are you loading the game from a Floppy Disk? Sometimes when loading a game there will be errors in loading that don't get detected and can cause all sorts of problems in games.

Again, what happens when you try to play it? Blank screen? Crash? Runs with graphics errors?

When you load the game, on the Game Doctor screen does it show the game name or is it blank or random characters? Sometimes it's possible it doesn't detect HiROM/LoROM correctly and that can be the cause. Also, have you loaded any similar games with success? Or larger games like Seiken Densetsu 3? It could be your PC transfer is having errors.

Another thing you could try is ucon64 with -l and -k to fix for slowrom and crack any protections. It shouldn't be needed if you have a SF7 but you could give it a shot.

What do you mean by "switched"? Make sure you run it in NTSC and not PAL mode if that's what your switch does.

Also you might want to try loading the game into a slot other than Slot A, try B, C, or D. See if that makes any difference. Press Y to change which Slot it will load into.

That game has a bad checksum though, so it's probably a bad dump or conversion. Are you using -xgd6 or -xgd3 to send your roms with ucon64? If you are using 6, try using 3.
