| Hey I have a Super WIld Card DX2 64M that I have modded to run only off Compact Flash. I had a diskdual with a dead power supply so I moved the diskdual inside the DX2 and added a compact flash adapter. The Floppy Drive has been removed and NO external power supply is needed to run the machine. Bios Version 711. Runs perfect. WIll upload pics soon. I am located in the USA but can send anywhere. Did you run a cable from the external parallel port back inside, or did you solder directly from the diskdual ide/parallel adapter to the dx2 PCB?
Could you post an internal pic?
I've done this mod twice, but have erratic transfer results - about 20% of the time roms are loaded with corruption, I've suspected grounding/shielding issues but there is nothing obvious. Would be very interested to see your solution. |
