I can't figure out why and was curious if the game just doesn't work on the DPF. Can someone else with a DPF or even Super Magic Drive try it out and see if it works? I'm pretty sure it's not some sort of loading error from a bad disk, but I guess it could be. So if someone could test the game on their DPF that would be great.

Update: I tested the non-region locked "Sample" Version and it works just fine. But the US release doesn't work and the JP and PAL versions are region locked.

Update: The Japanese version which is region locked doesn't even show up with the usual regional lock out message, just a blank screen like the US version.

Update: Figured it out. Gunstar Heroes and Alien Soldier have copy protection of some kind it seems. Other Treasure games may have it too.
