Has anyone been able to get NBA Jam 32X working on the MD-Pro 64? I haven't had any problems with any of the other 32x games. I have an NTSC Model 2 Genesis. All I get is a black screen on this particular game.

Did you check your ROM image with an emulator like Kega Fusion to be sure its good? And did you make sure its NTSC and not PAL or anything like that?

NBA Jam:TE uses EEPROM save, which is not available on the MD-Pro. You might need to get a version hacked to disable saving/loading to make it work.

Just a follow up - you can make NBA Jam TE 32X work by patching it. Open the file in a hex editor, go to offset EEC and look for the value 60FE; change it to 4E71 and save. You should now be able to play this off the MDPRo.

Curious, what does this change do? Bypass a EEPROM check that causes a hang?

Not sure... I found it on a REALLY old forum post about running it on old 32X emulators. Some of the games done about that time had special code for detecting the common backup units out then, and this may be a patch related to that.
