Couldn't say for certain - I don't even have a system with PCMCIA anymore.

I received the Flash Cart Smile

When I put the Cart in the megadrive it seems to work well but the pre-installed games refuse to start. Neither "start" nor a,b,c,x,y,z don't start anything. Neither on PAL nor in NTSC mode. As reminder, currently I've only got the "new" Megadrive.

The SNES Cart of my friend (we ordered together), however, seems to work fine. Flashing also works fine.

Any hints?

What do you mean "new" megadrive? If possible use an official Megadrive Model 1 or 2.

I mean this:

Friends of mine gave it to me as present for birthday. I read that it works with the Flash Cart.

But I already looked up an original megadrive on ebay. Haven't bought it yet though. Wanted to double check whether I need to or not.

Well I don't know if it works on that console or not. If you read from a reliable source that it works on that console then perhaps you have another problem. Where did you read the flash cart works on that new megadrive?

The MD-Pro has been tested on the RetroGen and GenMobile by myself. Those are new handhelds. It works fine on them. It's also been tested on the FireCore (by someone else, I don't have one) and reported as working. These are all single-chip emulated MegaDrive systems. The Blaze is supposedly the same as the FireCore, so you'd expect it to work as well, but I don't know if it's really been tested on the Blaze or if people assumed that since the FireCore works and it's the same as the Blaze that the Blaze should work as well.

I've got an original megadrive2 on ebay, should arrive in the next few days. If the cart won't work with this then I assume the cart has a problem. But I'm pretty confident that it works with it.

I'll give feedback in a few days.

Cart works smoothly with Megadrive 2. Haven't tried to flash it, yet. Will do with a real parallel port in a few days.
