Glad you came up with some more ideas
I checked the bottom cart, I have the regular one. It looks like it's missing something compared to your picture though, I made a picture of it:
Could you take me through the steps to do some probing? I have no idea how to do this actually... |

Indeed your cart is missing a bridge, a capacitor and a resistor (and maybe more if I flip the side, I'll try to check)...compared to mine
I can't confirm though that it might cause troubles. There must be many revisions on these devices and those components seem to have never been soldered on yours.
Kinda difficult to test a device when you don't have spare parts to check with...actually have you tried with another SNES/US or JAP?
You should probe connections for continuity using a multimeter.
One of the most common problem with old consoles are pins getting loose.
So to make sure all of them are connected, probe each pin from your console's pins to the copier's pins. |

I didn't check it with another region Snes, simply because I don't have one...
I did some more testing, but still I can't seem to pinpoint the problem here. I'll try to make my snes regionfree, see if that fixes anything.. who knows, right? |
