Hello!

I'm trying for hours now to get my fave game working..

Look:

What could I do? I tried with Oerg's and Tomy's software (DreamWriter), enabled SRAM slots etc...

EDIT: you may wonder, this is an emulator screenshot, yes it is. because it WAS the same with emulator, I tried another .bin and it worked then in emulator, but NOT on real console.

Hello,

I am going to check later today if I can reproduce the issue.

Cheers,

Okay, I've tried running it. No luck. I am currently trying to crack the copy protection using ucon64.

EDIT: Damn.

Attempting crack...

You need to use Might and Magic III - Isles of Terra (U) [x].bin as the others have the sram code hacked out. The [x] version seems to work fine with sram.

By the way, I found that by checking the sram code, starting by locating the error string, then tracing back. Turns out the sram read/write code is

($1E,A5) = $98C6A = read sram
($24,A5) = $98C36 = write sram

The SRAM is in the normal location: $200000.

Only the [x] version of the rom had the read/write code intact.
