Guys,
Got my Wild Card parallel transfer working (in Win7!) but now I am hitting the same problem that others have, and have not been able to sort yet.
Basically, when I swich off the SNES, it retains the ROM, if I power off quickly, the game is still there, the longer the SNES is off, the rom might have corruption, or just be a black screen, but regardless, if I want the ROM gone from the Wild Card, I either have to unplug the parallel cable, or switch off the PC!
I have seen a cable hack removing pins 12, 14, 15 & 16 - I have done this by pulling the pins out the end and the remaining part is flush with the bottom of the parallel plug, so they are no making contact, but it still retains the ROM file!
How can I sort this? Any idea as I don't want to keep removing the parallel cable from the Wild Card while the PC is switched on...
Thanks,
Paul |

Have you tried holding L or R or L&R or other button combinations to see if that gets the menu every time? The Game Doctor SF series retain roms too, and like you said it seems to me over time you are alot more likely to see those roms corrupt if the SNES is off. But on the GDSF7, you hold R when you power on to let it know you want the Menu not the first loaded game. |
