im trying to put several roms on each disk for use on the old mega disk 8mb...

ive tested the mega tools and got it to work with a single rom using imc.

i think ive got a formatted ibm disk but how do I copy the roms?? if done within xp or command prompt with copy command it says cannot find sector.

and i tried using imc before with several games and it wont show up as a list on the mega disk.

If I remember correctly, you need the MDI boot disk or a newer BIOS (or the 16M version MDI) in order to access multiple ROMs on floppy. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, I haven't touched my MDI in ages (and I've only owned it for little over a year), but I do know this: the MDI used a nonstandard file system, and as such the disks can't be read/written properly in XP, 2000, '98, et cetera, so you can't simply copy files across from HD. You needed the DOS-based Sane Ting utils to "inject" (or rip) the ROM to (or from) the floppy... not sure whether anyone came up with a workaround for this in Windoze, but someone out there could likely enlighten us...

Yea, he is correct, writing to those disks requires a tool, you can't just format from a PC and write to those floppies.

You can download a tools package here: http://www.programmersheaven.com/download/51836/download.aspx

Usage : 2HD Dos_VERSION 2DD Dos_VERSION

in diskette)
3. SD49B means Super Disk Interceptor and Super Famicom Interface DOS
