Ive recently unboxed my doctor v64 but no video (green menu screen) is displayed on the TV, it does however load roms and run them via the n64, the pass through a/v works also.
I did some reading and found maybe the relays are worn out, but would like some more info from you good people, there are 3 relays 2 yellow and 1 blue, which one am i looking at inparticular?
Also upon powering the v64 i hear a click, i was told this could be a sign of a failed relay, maybe someone who has a v64 can power on just to help me confirm if this is true or false.
As usual all your help guys is greatly appreciated.

Clicking generally means a relay is working, however if there are multiple ones it only means one is working. Assuming you have the video cables hooked up correctly, I'm guessing it is a relay issue. |

The same thing has happened to me with my v64! it was working fine with no clicking what so ever but when I fired it up this weekend after inserting a additional 128 ram memory to upgrade it to a 256 plus a new black connector slot which I recently purchased from Hong Kong it started making a click noise when I switched the n64 on.....this happened for about 30 minutes of use everytime I switched between the v64 and the n64 untill finally it doesn't give out any video output from the v64......could a simple reflow on the circuit fix this problem? searched the net for info on this but no success, hopefully somebody can help as my knowledge on electronics is useless. |

There are 3 relays on the mainboard, the two yellow seem to do nothing at all, the blue one switches when powered up... this is the clicking, i removed both of the yellow relays to check individualy and they both work fine.
I came across a site that had a direct post from bung back in whatever year ago, the question was somthing along the lines of "my doctor v64 is still working correctly however there is no video" bung replyed with this "its the powerchip sn7406n" ive managed to order one of these and will try to replace it soon as it arrives.
After searching through these 11 pages of forums this problem has arose so many times and im surprised theres been no more info on a fix.
still hoping for someone with a far greater experience to help out, i will post my findings once the new chip is installed.
