Seem to have problems getting your MD-Pro to work on your Windows-based system?
To see if your MD works at all on your PC, use this software
DOWNLOAD (v0.99a)
Aproximate threshold of test speed: 4 minutes and 15 seconds

Easy: The I/O driver ads a lot of time. Because on windows, you cannot access the I/O ports directly. You need to have a driver that allows you to talk the the parallel port like this.
My OS Indepedent boot disk which is in prototype state manages a time around 2:45 minutes.
Also, it flashes the full cartridge with random bytes so it takes some time
