So you was able to update each one to 4.1a
Interesting, I thought only the 16/24 got an EPLD able to handle it.
Perhaps the updated EPLD is only needed for RAM support :
Did you try to upgrade RAM of your 8 & 16M version ?
If I'm correct (and based on ncsx doc), you can't use 32M on an (old) 8M version.

@Kaz, you haven't shown your GDSF collection yet!! heheh

I just got my TOP853 yesterday so finally I'm gonna be able to dump some bios...Once again Kaz if you dumped your SWC AdHoc's bios, please send it to me Wink

One disappointement with the programmer so far, maybe somebody can help:
Those programmers only work on 32bits OS but I read somewhere it would also work on VirtualBox OS and it does not. Virtualized USB devices are not working as long as the host OS does not have the working drivers for it apparently...I know it make sense but I thought I could get away with it.
I ended up crashing the whole systems so for now I'll have to dedicate a computer for it until sb finds a solution, if any...

@Kaneda

check your mail Wink

I planned to buy this cheap usb programmer....
I also found some links which could help you :
http://bu3sch.de/cms/hacking/toprammer.html
http://openschemes.com/2010/04/29/turning-a-top2005-eprom-programmer-into-a-desktop-test-bench/

It could/should be compatible and extend the functionnalities of the programmer....well, it's what I hope Wink
