hi there ^^

i can't help myself anymore :>
i have a question about my doctor v64 which isn't working as it should be.
when i load a rom and start the n64 nothing happens
the screen stays blue (my tv stays blue if no signal is there)
exept for a crazy nations bootloader
boot.v64 http://ul.to/87a7kja6
the file is very tiny about 250kb
that rom is fine, there is a picture and sound

the first thing i tested was the black connector (v64<->n64)
i tested the circuit from the v64 mainboard through the n64 up to the
bung boot adapter -> everything is fine with the connection

my next step was testing the ram:
the internal check says all is ok
than i uploaded a rom into dram und downloaded it with my pc again
and compared the files -> everything fine, too

if i put a cart directly in my v64 and upload it to my pc the rom
dumps well nothing special

even if i dump super mario world 64 (pal) und try to run that rom
nothing happens.
as far as i know sm64 has no copy protection and i should have no cic problem in that case

----
things i have and could use to test something
- super mario kart (pal)
- super mario world (pal)
- dk64 und some motocross game
- Doctor v64 128Mb (the second 128Mbit ram is broken maybe a hint? some of the little brown smd Capacitor are blown up)
on the Doctor v64 mainboard come Caps lost their plastic sourrounding
mybe some of them are broken?
- N64 pal and a N64 ntsc (but no ntsc tv :> so only sound is testable)

my question now is, why is only one bootloader working and nothing else?
ah before i forget to mention it, lac's bootloader is loading too but only with a black screen

i would be very happy if anyone have a hint for me ^^

Have you tried using only the 128m ram module that doesn't have broken caps?

hi,
i managed to boot up "lacs universal boot emu 1.2b"

but when i press 'start' after sending the to rom i want to boot the picture goes crazy and freezes

it looks like that:

any ideas?

i think i'm using the boot emu right by sending the rom to boot while the n64 is running with the emu on tv and pressing the start button after the rom upload finished or am i wrong?
