|
|
I need some advice about transferring external ROM's to the SNES console. I'm looking for a piece of hardware that I can transfer a ROM file from my computer over to the SNES. I also need support for any enhancement chips that are required by the ROM - (correct my if I'm wrong but I'm told that hardware to do this is rare)
So, to sum it up ... I have ROM file on my computer. I want to play it on my SNES via cable/cartridge/whatever and I need it to support enhancement chips, particularly DSP-1.
Also, do I need to consider PAL/NTSC with hardware? Ideally I would like to work on a PAL SNES with development.
What options do I have? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks. |

DSP1 is supported by many devices. Most other chips are not. A new product called SD2SNES will support a few more chips but still not all.
If you are wanting to "develop" software, you can always use BSNES the emulator which is highly accurate. |

Yeah I've come across the BSNES but I use Mac and I can only seem to find a really old binary and the latest source doesn't compile
I do really want to stay with the hardware despite it being a pricey route but I also want to get up to speed with the BSNES.

This is exactly what I'm after. Thanks for the link. |
