I've had similar issues with my Smart Disc, which I can tell by looking at those screens, is a carbon copy of that PFX. Although I don't own a smart card, I've had issues loading SNES roms from floppies for 2 reasons:

- filename: if it's longer than standard DOS 8.3
- floppy: it's probably my floppy drive's head but some floppies work, some other don't.

The 1st thing you should try is using a good floppy which works fine loading some SNES roms and copy you GB game on it with a simple name such as GAME.GB.

Hope it helps

I have a similar setup and was wondering, what format of games does the SSC use? Do .gb or .gg games need to be converted somehow or can they simply be renamed?

OMG, I'd kill for that GG/GB Smartcard...

With GB Smartcard GB ROM-Images need a Smartcard header, ucon64 can apply that. Maybe something similar is needed for Gamegear images? ucon64 doesn't have an option for that...

7) press select to goto utility menu
8 ) Save Data file to S2

Nice Tomy!
You made a software that dumps the BIOS to the SRAM? That's clever.
Actually I was able to dump mine with it. I included both LO and HI files with a merged version made with snestools but not sure if it's the right way.

I noticed a lot of ROM names at the end of the file, I believe these are Game Genie codes? First I thought maybe some kind of ROM ID DB to display the full name but the copier actually read the full name from the ROM header right?

I guess this utility has been designed specifically for that BIOS since dumping my FX32 didn't output a proper file.

BTW, I had a few questions regarding copiers' bios:

I loaded a few of them from some image files on my copiers, and while some GUIs are functional, most of the functions aren't. I guess they're not pointing at the right address since there must be a low hardware compatibility between those machines?...still I was able to load a disk file from a SPF bios image on my Smart Disc, even though it was reloading the BIOS afterward...of course...

So here comes my second question: would it be possible to hack some of these bios to actually work on copiers they were not designed for?...even though it's not 100% compatible? Or we're talking BIG reverse engineering job and pointless work?

What good is dumping the bios of the game coppier? It requires the actual hardware to be usefull. That is it is useless in an emulator.

Thank you Mystic_Merlin, your bios is wokring for my Super Pro Fighter X. (not fully test yet, but seems ok) I'll test if my parallel adaptor is working or not. Because some customer buy Chinese bios to work on parallel adaptor. Now, they have a chance to have again English bios again.

Yes, it has Game Genie codes at the end of the file. So, it can auto input code for you after loaded game.

Yes, this tools mainly use on Super Pro Fighter X series. But if similar copier should work. (some older copier use 27128/27256, only need to dump Lo file is ok) I'm not sure if work for other copier. I just saw your other post, your FX32 is Pro Fighter clone.

Yes, it is too many similar copier out there. The father is SWC. Some engineer leave that company. (Like Intel and AMD) Then make many many different name. They are same. Only little bit different. So, if you have bios source code. Sure can make that bios to work for all.

Yes, it is very hard work to reverse engineering job to make bios 100% compatible to other copier.
