Hello everyone,

I got a Doctor V64 with DM TEST error.

Also when I want to load the list of the games from the CD , I got this message :

CD VOLUMN DESCRIPTER ERR

I tried with another CD drive , the problem is still the same....

Any idea what the problem can be ??

Thanks for your help.

Hi, are you sure you have burned the CDs correctly with the .V64 format after every rom? And what have you named all the roms on the disk? They have to be named in a specific way to work.

From memory, the Doctor V64 requires you to replace the stock BIOS with a modified one which allows you to run backups. You also had to modify the cartridge adapter too.

I somewhat doubt these are your problems as most people have already done the procedures for this, but I figured I'd ask all the same.

Hi , thanks for the answer.
All my CD's are working on my 2nd Doctor.
And the Doctor with the CD VOLUMN error was working fine some days ago.

I was never able to fix the problem , I sold it for parts.
