For lack of a better title I'm starting a thread about that weird header I came across on nesworld:
http://www.nesworld.com/snes-pirateromcds.php
Martin from nesworld was kind enough to send me a copy of the GB CD as I was really curious to see what it's about.
It appears to be a Super Smart Card snes header for GB roms.
I know of the SMC GB Card and the CCL SSC but this is something else.
Also the naming convention of the ROMS is similar to what is used with GDSF copiers. Was there a SSC for these copiers?
The roms provided on the CD are basically a 32KB header (as attached) with a raw GB rom.
The rom can be executed on a SNES emulator but that's as far as you'll go.
From a quick analysis, here's what I figured out of this header:
offset &7FF0: ROM size
&02 = 0.25M
&04 = 0.5M
&08 = 1M
&10 = 2M
&20 = 4M
offset &7FF0: RAM size
&01 = 16k
&04 = 64k
&10 = 256K
offset &7FF6: address of the character table
offset &7FFC: address of the program start (same as a snes ROM)
offset &7C80-&7E7F: character table
If anyone knows anything about those please chime in.
