|
|
Hi,
I recently received my MD-PRO kit. The flash cartridge came with some game pre-flashed, and is working great.
However I can't detect flash cart from the Writer program.
I use a regular USB cable from my scanner and a parallel port DB25 male-to-male cable, which came with CD64 unit.
I am running Windows XP with all the windowsupdate patches.
Do you think it's a software problem? May be flashing program doesn't work on XP?
Or is it a hardware problem?
If so, could it be a different parallel port cable pinout between MD-PRO and CD64? Or I somehow don't get the power from USB?
Please advice,
Thank you in advance

I had this problem also. I don't have the software infront of me, so this description wont be accurate.
To get the card detected I have to go into the settings and change the parallel port speed to the second one from the left. Turn the card interface back on and hopefully it will be detected.
Now you can raise the speed again in the settings menu. |

Thanks, man
I actually tried it on another computer, old celeron box with windows 98se, and it worked
Good enough for me
But I have wierd problems with PS2 saves: it complains about missing sram! PS2 and PS4 works fine
May be I should flash PS2 exclusively, so there's no loader.
I'll check it out.
I can't really play the game yet, because I still only have a RF hook up. |

Actually it works even on my first computer. All I had to do it switch LPT from EPP/ECP to EPP only mode. |
