Hi, I just got this neat thing, and I already tested it on my SNES. It was working fine and all, but when I tried to upload my own games, I ran into some serious problems. First, I was getting those 256Mbit false informations, then I got rid of them and now, I get this :

1)

And that's it. I have switched it on, I plug both cables in. And nothing. I tried original SNES cart, but it was the same. I think that now it's not about cables or settings in bios, since the software communicates with the writer.
I really don't know what to do, any ideas ? Thanx a lot in advance ! Smile

I have this problem with all of Tototek's flash carts... the software detects the flash cart the first time it's run, but if I remove the cart and put it back in the programmer, it always says "Flash Cart not found".

I'm sure it has something to do with the program's losing control or access to the parallel port through software. The only solution I had in the past was to quit the program, put my PC in sleep or standby mode, and then wake it up, put the flash cart in, and run the software again. It could detect it then.

Tomy and others: the hardware is great! The software needs improvement, however.

So, I've tried it over and over, but still can't get it to work. I have tested it on two computers, even on another OS ( Windows 98 instead of XP ) and nothing. I get just the 1) and nothing more. Rolling Eyes

Aladin112:

Please use EPP mode. When you turn on programmer, need to wait 2 to 3 second. If it can't detect , then maybe you use wrong cable. You have your own cable ? or buy them from us ? Because recently, we got bad cable from factory. If you buy from us, then I can ship you a replacement cables.

I have done three things :

2. Bought a new printer cable ( laplink )
3. Set to EPP mode

It's great, yay Very Happy
Thanks for your replies, btw. Wink

First of all I run Windows XP Home SP2.

Ok, I Go into Bios like I was told, and to my amazement......I have no parallel port settings at all.

I go under Device Manager and Select Printer, Parallel Port, this is what it shows:

I know I am supposed to use EPP, but I can't find anywhere how to select it.....

I Try install New Hardware and under NONE of the Port lists are EPP.

HELLLLPPPP!!!

Aladin112 :

Oh, how you can make Laplink cable to work ? Super Flash Cart only support straight/switch box extension cable.

Stephen :

So, now it show EPP mode ? And can it detect the cart ?
Have you test the cart first before flash game ?
I never got I/O error 103. Can you test on other pc, to see what happen.
Thank you

It does detect the cart, I have tested it on another PC and on the Super nintendo.

It plays the 2 games on it, power rangers and tales of phantasia just fine.

The other PC is running windows 95, its older but is more than enough to do this task....I get the same thing......of course my parrallel cable is about 6-8 yrs old.

Can it be my parrallel cable? the Usb cable is brnd new, gold coated.
