I posted this on the DP board back in April, but it wasn't much help. Anyone got any ideas? I'm trying to dump a Super Mario World Prototype I have and my GD SF7 is being a pain in the ass. I actually bought it from Tomy a year or two ago, but never used it until now, so I figure I must be doing something wrong, since Tomy tests everything before sending. Do disks have to be preformatted or something?

So I was lying half dead at home the last few days with the flu and I figured I'd try to make some good of it. I figured, "Shit, I could die. I should try to dump that cart."

I tried and failed. I'm using my Game Doctor SF7 and no matter what I do it gives me a disk error. Whenever I try to format the disk or copy a file or even look at it sideways it gives me a disk error. Actually, it usually asks me to insert a disk (even if one is already in), and then gives me the error. Anybody know WTF is going on? I really want to dump this for everyone, but the GDSF7 is not being very cooperative.

Well, hope you can help. You can see some folks' replies in that thread.

Is your SF7 is v7.11 ? If not, please upgrade it. v7.11 can load disk better than older version for sure. So, all SF7 I sell is v7.11, he he Very Happy

So I finally replaced the floppy drive and it no longer gives me errors, but whenever I try to format or write to a disk, the drive just spins forever (and it doesn't even write the file to disk!). Anybody know what's wrong?

Oh, and yes, my system is v7.11.
