|
|
I have owned a MD-PRO 64 for some time now, and never had a problem with it, until recently trying the (awesome!) Pier Solar demo with it.
I copied the game to the MD-PRO, and completed the demo on my Megadrive.
Later i tried to store some other games into the MD-PRO and now UFOX64 doesnt detect the cart. It tells me:
ERROR: MD-PRO flash card (programmer) not detected
I tried all the tips talked on this forum and nothing works. Then i tried to read the MD-Pro with UFOX64, and it worked, a file was created, then i used the option "Read info" on that file and this info appears:
C:\Users\Ricardo\Desktop\uf-FOX-1.1-win32-bin\uf-FOX-1.1-win32-bin\pier

Then i used that same "Show info" option on an old Megadrive games compilation file that i have and i get this:

No, i havent been able to solve it. Its so frustrating.
I think it may have something to do with a Windows Vista Service Pack my brother installed around the time my cart stopped working, but i am not sure. |

Sounds like the service pack killed the port driver. You should try reinstalling the driver that lets you access the ports directly. That's what causes 99% of problems from what I've read in the forum here.
Vista probably thought the port driver was a security risk and disabled it. It's particularly bad about unsigned drivers, and I don't see MS signing a driver that would allow apps to directly bang on the hardware. |
