i recently ordered a 64MB Flash Cart and MD-PRO Programmer V3 but i cant get the programmer to work

these are my bios settings
Parallel Port Mode - EPP
Onboard Parallel Port Mode - 378/IRQ7
Onboard Serial Port - 3F8/IRQ4

my dreamwriter config - Printer Port Select: 378

my operating system is Windows 7 64bit

the error i get when i open DreamWriter is "NT Port Driver Couldnt Start. Something Wrong !!!!!!!!"

hopefully someone can give me some ideas to get this working if i need to post any more system information that could help just say

thanks

There's your problem. As far as I know, the port driver of Dreamwriter has problems with 64-bit operating systems.

Try this and report if it doesn't work either.

Try pushing flash again after the error appears. It's a small bug where the first flash can fail and the others will work fine.

OK then:

delete io.dll from the program directory

and put http://pixelbanane.de/yafu/1654540417/dlportio.dll in the program directory and try again.

Oops! Wrong DLL, i noticed.

Delete dlportio.dll again, and use this one instead:

That's weird :/

Only solution that's left: Set your LPT type to "ECP+EPP".

If that doesn't work, I'll upload a Tototek MD-PRO diagnostic boot-CD I made.

EDIT: Yeah, IO drivers don'T work on 64-bit systems it seems. I found this at a forum:

Quote:

On my windows server 2003 64bit system i get an error when launching the application. "io.dll" "unable to start the io.sys service. error code = 1275"

On my windows xp x64 64bit system i get the error "io.dll" unable to extract io.sys log in as a user who has such permission.

On my windows xp 32bit system i had a bit more luck. jtag utility loaded, i then selected blackcat as interface type, then moved to the console window.

i will give that diagnostic boot-CD a go when you upload it

in the meantime i also have virtualbox with windows xp 32bit on it so ill see if i can do anything on that

update:
using virtualbox didnt work so i then decided to try a dual boot installation of windows xp x32 on my spare hdd and with that it started working using dreamwriter

with saying that i think its safe to say that md programmer currently does not work with a x64 operating system or atleast windows 7 x64
