So, is it ONLY possible to have 4 games with saves, even if they don't use up the full 256k save space?

I'm just curious, because things like GBA flash carts have 256, but can subdivide into 32k and even 8k segments if they must.

There were a lot of MD games that require saves, such as rpgs, so having to choose only 4 games to use the sram would put a damper on assembling my 'Dream Cart'... Laughing

Could that be an option for the software later, or is it a hardware limitation?
