A cool little piece to have for a collection or toying around with, but not really a solution if the goal is just to play warez. |
I haven't tested smb1 on it. this is beginning to sound more like I should keep it since most people may not appreciate it for what it is. This isn't for someone that just wants to play nes/famicom games. These come up for sale maybe once or twice a year so they are pretty rare. |
Clearly you are looking to sell it to a collector, not someone interested in casually playing warez which would be better suited to the PowerPAK. Given the Doctor PC Jr's rarity in western areas you should be able to find a buyer. You won't get the people that would now buy the PowerPAK but I imagine there are the collector types. Given that you have the box that helps.
I still have that Double Pro Fighter I bought from you and fixed the RAM in it to get it to play Genesis games correctly. I tried selling it briefly but gave up since I didn't really want to go to the trouble of selling an item online for considerable amount of money and it is a neat device.
You have to make up your mind if you'd be better off keeping it as a toy/collection piece for yourself or if you really need to get the money for it. |

Hi,
Yes the Dr. PC Junior is a rare device, but the NTSC version is even rarer as most PAL models were produced for the chinese market as a personal computer for childs. These units were imported back in the days by some small traders like paradise.
I owned one of these devices two years ago but sold it, because I wanted a NTSC Model. As I live in Germany TV standard was no problem, but gameplay with 50Hz was arguably slower than with 60Hz.
Unfortunately I never got my hands on NTSC model, therefore I make an offer for your PAL Dr. PC Junior PM!

no box but I do have instructions. I didn't have time to take pics since I had to leave town for my job. I can try to get my wife to take pics, but she wouldn't know what it looks like |
