I haven't used uCON64 for flashing games onto a cart.
How does it work? And does it let you create your own menu for selecting games on the cart?

uCON64 does not yet work with the Super Flash because we don't have the Super Flash programming information. Tomy is going to try to get that to us.

Daniel, have you seen the Super Flasher software? It's context sensitive with a simple GUI interface. It looks like it polls for the HW and if it finds a flash card inserted it will display what games are loaded in one of the windows. If it finds a normal cart it will display the cart info in a different window. You can perform operations based on what is inserted into the programmer. You can DL the software and run it without the programmer to see the layout. I'm wondering how uCON64 will support this without a GUI. We certainly can support it, it's just a matter of how to make easy to use without a GUI.

Yes, I've seen it. Displaying the current contents of the flash card is of course a feature of the SuperFlash software (not a feature of the hardware). All actions performed by uCON64 are initiated by the user, so I see no other way than to put this feature behind a separate option. We could also have two transfer (send) options, one to write data to the flash card regardless what's currently stored on it, and one to write data to it if there's enough room left. I have to admit that I prefer the former option, because if we do the later for the SuperFlash we should do the same for the other flash card programmers supported by uCON64.

Tomy is Leo back yet? Once the SuperFlash gets uCon64 support, I will buy another SuperFlash cart. So you will make another $80 just by giving the uCon64 guys the source.

Because I boycott Microsoft.
Because I don't have a spare computer or harddrive space to install Windows on.
Because Windows is a security hazard.
Because I would rather have another SuperFlash cart, than a copy of Windows.

Please don't turn this into a flamewar. He simply answered your question. Perhaps you will think differently about Microsoft once you spend some time investigating *why* people dislike them.
Perhaps you haven't had your system infected by trojan horses simply because your PC was connected to the internet (happened to me).
Perhaps you never were fortunate enough to spend many hours reïnstalling software, because some virus infected *all* your executables (happened to me).
Perhaps you like to pay in the future, just to read your own documents (search for TCPA, Palladium or DRM).

I wrote it happened to me, *not* that it happened to me recently. But you miss an important point. The mean time before an unprotected PC that is connected to the internet gets infected has now dropped to 20 minutes, which is far too short to download the many patches for Windows XP. Regular users don't realise the importance of antivirus or firewall software until they experience the fun of having a virus or trojan on their PC. Windows XP is one big security loophole. That you haven't experienced any nastiness since 1997 is an exception, not the rule.
