Maybe there should be "fighting Stick" edition remappers for PS2-> other systems which make more sense when hooking up a Fight Stick to the adapter and then connecting to an older system.
My PS2 Fight stick has:
[] ^ R1 L1
X O R2 L2
equalling in Capcom games:
QP MP HP 3P
QK MK HK 3K
But because the adapter assumea you have a pad and not a stick, Genesis and Saturn Mappings look like this (according to the PDF diagram of the Saturn Stick however the picturee is reversed, so I don't know if it's flipped or correctly oriented, and what the intended mapping is.):
QK QP 3K 3P
MK HK MP HP
Because that is:
A X L R
B C Y Z
But it should map to:
X Y Z R
A B C L.
Maybe if this is popular enough, a switcher which can be set to Pad or Stick mode would be nice. |

over a year....
took long enough for a response. I’m just wonering vif Tomy is reading, and actually stil in the business of PS2-> other console adapters.
But that ship has sailed. I’m invested in my custom fight stick usinga Toodles MC Cthulhu board with appropriate adapters.
But a Genesis version might save me some labor on a direct Genesis Padhack.
So you got a couple of months to make a fight stick version of the adapter. Otherwise I’m hiring a guy to hack my pad.
I may hack my pad anyway for a Genesis-> 7800 Adapter. |
