Hey,

I noted that lots of controller adapters allow you to use your PS2 controler on classic consoles. I suppose it works well for those who hate the original control pads, but for a lot of people, classic console pads were personal favorates! Although I have looked high and low, I have yet to see anyone produce an adapter that lets you do the exact opposite... Use your classic controlers on modern systems (Like a PS2).

Specificly, for instance, one which I am currently looking for... An adapter which lets you use your Sega Saturn pads on a PS2 console. Or a Dreamcast pad on a PS2 console.

I think this product idea would be better than the current one, since more hardcore players like to use their classic consoles and accessories (as they were ment to be used), rather than trying to get new ones working on older machines. Personally, I'd much rather use a Saturn joystick or arcade stick to play perfectly emulated Sega games on the PS2, rather than a crummy PS2 pad, or purchase an expensive PS2 Saturn version pad (Which doesn't let you use other joysticks etc with the PS2).

Perhaps if the reason such a product doesn't exist is because you'd need to make too many adapters for each console, maybe make one which lets USB controlers plug into a PS2, so that using the adapter of your choice (Which is already released) you can go from: Classic console --> USB --> PS2?

The PS2 has so many remakes of great games like KOF, Samurai Showdown, VF2, etc that its about time people can use the authentic controlers for them. I'll take a Neo-Geo pad any day over a PS2 pad for KOF!
