|
Hi, I`m new to this forum, this is my first post.
I have a PAL Snes with a Super wild card DX32 and a US NTSC Snes.
Is it possible to get the SWC to work in the US Snes ?
If not, anyone want to swap my PAL SWC for a US one ? ! |

yes of course, you will open the swc with screw, once open the unit you will remove a IC Lockout Chip Pal located on the right of swc mainboard.
Once removed chip you can plug swc into snes usa and plug on the top of swc a usa snes cart so it can be used on snes usa, and if you will put pal snes cart you can use it on pal snes. This is because the swc have the capabilities to use the ic region chip of snes cart plugged.
I'm italian and i hope that you can understand me because my english is not perfect.
Thanks |

Thank you for your reply,
I tried this - I`m not sure which chip is the lockout one but I removed the one on the right.
The US Snes does not seem to power the SWC at all, even with a seperate power supply to it the Wildcard does not power up & no response from the floppy drive - just a black screen.
Perhaps the pin out of the cart slot is different ? |

I ended up Modding my US snes with the Lockout & 50/60 Hz switches, ended up with a bad case of eye strain ! - worth it though cos everything works on it, all my Pal & NTSC carts and The Super wild card.
Cheers ! |
