I have tried 3 different disk drives and I get an ERR FF message when trying to load games on floppy (they load on my GDSF3). Anyone know what this means? I am using a Sega Genesis 1 power supply.
Also, is it possible to make your own CD7 external CD-ROM unit for use with the GDSF7 ?[/quote] |

Yes, I think it is possible, but it's not that easy to find the parts. You'd need an MKE cd-rom reader with some special PCB. There's also some IC chip you need. After you have the parts though, I don't think it's that hard to build. There are schematics out there if you google around a bit

Just to mention, i got a working floppy drive. Seems the GDSF7 is very picky about what floppy drives it can use. Even the floppy drive from my SWCDX2 didn't work in it, nor did the floppy drive from my GDSF3 |
