Hi Everyone,
When trying to dump Chinese multi-carts with copiers, is there anything special you need to do to get the whole rom and not just the menu/intro? |

Yeah, either figure out the bankswitching logic or dump the ROM manually with a device programmer. |

Heh, I kinda figured you would need some bankswitching trickery that a stock copier probably wouldn't provide. |

The usual crap. Nothing to get worked up about. I asked the question more for future refrence than anything else, as opposed to actually wanting to save what was on the cart.
But speaking of carts, I suppose the ones with physical bank switch swiches are easier to dump, since you can just cycle through all the banks and dump them one at a time. Of course, the games would be pretty boring (unless they were hacks or originals) since it would be basicly just a regular game (not even a menu selector) |
