Double-check the port number used by DreamWriter. Make sure the number you set for ucon64 is the same.

You are my hero!! yeah, the Tototek program is pretty darn buggy so this is a huge relief. Especially since ucon64 is not easy to use (I'm not much of a DOS person...)

Great stuff, you should tell Tototek to put it on their main page.

EDIT: I started using the program and there are some issues.

1) The program window compresses some of the buttons on my screen and I uploaded a image to show exactly what I mean:

Changing screen resolution and even changing to 16bit did not resolve this.

2) When flashing games the program would freeze up half way through (but only with larger file sizes). This was pretty scary since I was afraid it would damage my flash cart (luckily it did not).

3) Flashing is pretty slow compared to DreamWriter but this is due to ucon64 I presume and not your Windows version. A minor issue.

Just including this to help improve what looks to be a very promising new program. Good luck and I hope this can eventually replace DreamWriter as the MD-PRO software of choice!

Hello and thanks for your reply!

1) It's a bug with certain windows/VGA BIOS combinations. Terminal font etc. -- Will be fixed soon

2) Wait a bit. It directly fetches output from console. If it doesn't continue after a minute of freeze, consult Tomy. Might be incorrectly locked flash sectors.

3) I did some test on a Windows 95 laptop. Ucon64 DOS version works a bit faster than Ucon64 Win32 version. Not sure why though...

thanks Smile

EDIT!!: Very sorry for website issues!

Current version = 1.13ß = http://oerg866.randomsonicnet.org/mdpro_113b.zip

Cool! That will make me happy... the frontend for ucon64 is getting a little old. I like your frontend better, but don't want to run in DOS or Windows. Very Happy

How do I enable the option to use SRAM 1, 2, 3, or 4 to save my characters?

Where I see how much space is still available or have already exceeded the limit?

I could not find such things in this program ...

It's your responsibility to set games to different banks, and to load/save banks as needed. You can only select a bank using the multi-game loader menu which is burned when you select multiple games to be on the cart. If you just write a single file that boots directly, it is limited to only using the first bank.

Funny, I reinstalled Windows (XP Pro) a while back and hadn't reinstalled the software to write my MD-Pro. I was pulling my hair out trying to get an IO Port driver working when I remembered "Oerg has a Windows interface that takes care of all that." So I installed this and BAM! No problem writing my MD-Pro again. Twisted Evil

Thanks, Oerg!
