I have a 64M MD-Pro. Are there any games (besides Virtua Racing, which requires the SVP chip) that won't work with the MD-Pro? I'm not aware of too many Genesis games that have specialized chips in them, but maybe some people have tried more than myself...

Some games dont SAVE...but they do work on MD PRO.

I remember 2 of those: Shining force (1 or 2) was one of them. And one of the NBA JAM titles didnt save correctly too.

Funny thing with my tempramental MDpro card.
I Can play both shining Force games right now with both saving proper.
That's even with the GG codes on Razz

Only game that will not work right now Crusader of Centry does not save.

I am pretty sure the problem I am having is the flash or program.
After I tested the 2 lemmings games I tried to reflash and put the 2 Shining Force Games back on with Beyond Of Oasis.
The Shining Force 2 is back to not saving and the 3rd game still red screen of death.
I get errors out the max when I use the MDpro Diag program.
What I don't understand is Beyond Oasis and Crusader of centy worked perfect when I first got this Flash card.
But now after flashing it over and over just to get the errors out . No game that's 24m will work.
On a 64m flash card That's a bummer Confused

Could you please send me the roms youre using? I will try them with my MD PRO, and inform you if they work or not.

Please send them (zipped if possible) to splatterhouse@(removethis)gmail.com

segabob :

When you play game with red screen that mean checksum error. It mean data from flash cart must be wrong. Now, after you finished flash md pro, verify ok ? or have many many error ? If no error, I think it is rom image problem. If yes, you can send it back to me. We can help you repair, bo problem. Smile I'll leave 2-3days, when I'm back, talk to you again.

Suppafly :

Thanks for helping and testing. Very Happy

I changed my 25 pin straight cable (xchanger) with a new one and all errors and problems got fixed.
No more errors or red screen.
I guess the old one wore out.

Balloon Boy doesn't work on the flash cart. It somehow 'knows' it's being played from an image. I'm not sure why Sega didn't use this kind of checking, but I'm glad!!

Nice.....and just a reminder to all other tototek-hardware-users: Its very easy to blame the tototek products, but MOST of the time the problems are in the user´s computer Confused
