Hi
would a flash card for the Nintendo DS be possible? It would be a huge help for the homebrew scene if we would have such cards.Just imagine about a snes emulator for the DS.But without a flash card it's not possible so please try it Very Happy

It would be too dangerous. DS is a modern console, and Nintendo doesnt fool around with grey market hardware....

There's a DS pass-through cart designed that will apparantly allow code to run from a GBA flash cart. I read about it here: http://hardware.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/03/08/1941204&tid=222&tid=10

It could allow homebrew programs to run, but not copies of DS games.

GBA flash carts do work for GBA games. What Memblers is saying is that someone invented a device to put DS code on a GBA flash cart and trick it into running in DS mode instead of GBA mode.

You can run ARM9 (DS) code through the GBA bus. There are plenty of different DS demos out now, all you need is a device called PassMe (passthrough device that hijacks the reset vector on DS carts) and a GBA flash card. You can't however run commercial games with it so if your intentions are really pure, do a Google search for PassMe and buy one. They're like $16. You people with dirty intentions will have to wait some time because DS won't be cracked for some time (maybe a few more months) cartridges are heavily encrypted and decrypted in real time based on the DS's RTC. Tototek won't and can't make a DS Flashcart.
